Enviro schools day at Otari Wilton Bush

Today the Korari and Mahuri Enviro kids had an awesome day at Otari.

First we looked at leaf litter from the ngāhere. We found lots of critters and looked at them under the magnifying glasses and microscopes.

Next we found out about seeds and planted kowhai seeds.

After lunch we explored the creek and checked out the water quality of the creek.

Finally we went on a bush walk to discover the 850 year old rimu.

What an amazing day.

Thanks to all the parents who helped all day.

Kia ora.
