Oxfam Oxmas Day!

What a special day, our annual Oxfam Oxmas day!
Everyone dressed Christmassy or in green or red, and brought in a can to support the Johnsonville Salvation Army, and a coin to support Oxfam.
Everyone looked amazing.

The school looking so festive.
240 food items for the food bank.
The Enviro team had a lot of counting to do.
$428 dollars for Oxfam, That will help lots of families overseas.
The Salvation Army were so pleased to get all the food. They are going  to put it in the Christmas food parcels they are distributing next week.

Enviro days!

This year a focus of the school has been Enviro days. All the classes take on an area of the school to look after. In term 2 and term 4 we had Enviro days, Kaitiaki days, where we care for our school environment.

A lot of mahi happened. Weeding, mulching, mosaicing and tidying.

Ngā mihi kura. What a difference we made!

Mosaic pavers

This week for Enviro we worked in teams to mosaic some pavers to put around one of the school garden.

We experimented with all the materials to start with.

Great team work shown.

The final products ready to be glued.

Next week we will grout them all and put them in the garden.
